Grant Manager in Media
— A three-month course where experts will cover everything needed to know about grant management in media;— Three months of daily support from experts at the management company «Make sense» who will literally guide newly created grant managers into the world of fundraising and project management;— Four practical educational modules where trainers will cover topics on fundraising, project management, analytics and reporting, and communications;— Studying best practices and analyzing worst practices within case studies, where participants will work with real cases from international practice;— Plenty of networking opportunities, gifts, merchandise, additional content, and the chance to learn from experts from UCU, national and local media, experienced managers, and fundraisers.
Why we are doing this
The problem addressed by this course lies in the significant shortage of qualified grant managers in Ukraine. In the context of a constantly increasing volume of international aid and investments, especially in the country's recovery after the war, the need for effective managers capable of handling these resources is critically important.
Grant managers play a key role in the collaboration between government, businesses, and the civil sector with international organizations, as they are the first line of control ensuring that financial and other resources coming into the country are used efficiently and purposefully.
Qualified grant managers can help establish and maintain sustainable and continuous cooperation between Ukrainian organizations and international partners.
The target audience for the course
Media organizations
looking to train one of their employees to effectively fundraise and work with donors
Individual media
professionals seeking to retrain as grant managers or enhance their skills
Anyone
even those not directly involved in the media field, who wishes to pursue a career in this direction
