Today, our Media direction encompasses two independent websites operating in eastern and western Ukraine. We not only provide up-to-date news to our audience but also implement large-scale projects, actively work in the field of media literacy, debunking russian narratives and fakes.
Where it all began
The history of the public organization «Make Sense» began with the creation of the website 6262.com.ua in 2014. It happened after the liberation of Sloviansk from occupation. We wanted to support the city, which was just recovering from the war and Russian information onslaught.
Since then, we have started to develop in the media sphere and build independent journalism in eastern Ukraine. Over the years, we have managed to implement many ambitious plans and become leaders in our niche. And most importantly, we have been able to gather around us those who are equally concerned about the fate of our Sloviansk.
After the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation in 2022, we partially relocated to Chernivtsi and launched another independent media project there - 0372.ua. So now we are actively expanding our presence in Chernivtsi, writing about events that interest our readers, and interacting with the community of this city.

The 6262 website was created on September 22, 2014. At that time, Sloviansk was just recovering from the war and was in an information vacuum. After liberation, our city needed quality and independent content that would provide residents with accurate information about the situation.
Local entrepreneur Valeriy Garmash decided to create a website for the city of Sloviansk, which aimed to reduce social tension, debunk fake news, and deliver relevant news to readers.
With each passing month, trust in the website grew, and more and more readers joined the platform. If initially this project was considered solely as a social initiative, then within a few months, it became fully self-sufficient through advertising revenue.
Today, the website for the city of Sloviansk, 6262.com.ua, is one of the most successful sites in the northern Donbas region. We write articles, produce reportage stories, implement original projects, work in studios, and record podcasts. We also maintain a directory of enterprises and publish an up-to-date event calendar. We continue to work for our audience even during the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukrainian territory.
The history of the Chernivtsi city website began in 2022 when the majority of our team relocated from the Donetsk region. Six months after our evacuation, we found the strength to start another media project in another part of Ukraine.
Since 2022, we have been actively expanding our presence in Chernivtsi, writing about events that interest our readers, and interacting with the community of this city.
In Chernivtsi, we have also organized the operation of a Media Hub, where we gladly welcome colleagues from different parts of Ukraine and beyond.
We work extensively on the topic of media literacy and have even conducted a training session for students of Chernivtsi National University, where young journalists are trained. Our editorial office has also become a place for internships for future media professionals.
During this time, we have become recognizable, earned the trust of our readers, and have become an integral part of the media landscape in Chernivtsi.
So now we work in both Eastern and Western Ukraine.
Our team has over 10 years of experience in the media industry. Over these years, we have worked on various topics, formats, and projects, expanding beyond our online presence and creating exciting collaborations with partners.
We take pride in our projects created over the years:
Open to partnerships
The media direction of the NGO «Make Sense» is open to cooperation. Over the course of our work, we have gained not only partners but also friends among media professionals, civil society organizations, and educational institutions.
As our organization has grown, so have our opportunities to collaborate and support our partners. The editorial offices of 6262 and 0372 have become meeting places for exchanging experiences, mutual assistance, and implementing joint initiatives.
Now, more than ever, it is important to establish partnerships, as together we can more effectively counter the challenges society faces. Cooperation helps us be stronger, support each other, and create new opportunities for development.
The media direction of the NGO "Make Sense" is ready for new partnerships and joint projects because together we can achieve more. If you have any proposals for us, please write to ogn.esnes%40ekam.
